Mycoplasma – Vaccine

For 30 years, scientists around the world have been studying the relationship between Mycoplasma (a type of bacteria) and different diseases such as cancer, auto-immune diseases (arthritis, lupus, sclerodemia, etc.), multiple sclerosis, ALS, chronic f atigue syndrome, candidiasis, etc.
Mycoplasma is the smallest free-living bacteria (0.2 Um); normal bacteria range between 1.0 – 5.0 Um.).

Mycoplasmas have certain characteristics:

Not classified as gram (-) or Gram (+) because they have no cell wall.

Only Bacteria with cholesterol in the cell membrane and can be cultured in vitro, in special medium with sterols.

Strict aerobe (needing oxygen to live).

Metabolizes glucose (special characteristic).

Originally this bacteria was classified as a virus (because of the small size), and as pleuro-pneumoniae organism (because was first found to be related to pneumonia). In 1960, Klineberg gave this bacteria the name of Mycoplasma (bacteria). Due to the small size and the lack of a cell wall, this microorganism is capable of infecting a great number of cells (any part of the body) and live as a parasite (saprophyte) in the surface of the cells. (Baril, 1979; Rarin, 1981). The Mycoplasmas can become a parasite in plants, insects, animals, and humans, and can trigger different diseases. Once the Mycoplasma becomes a parasite in the cell, morphologic and physiologic changes are developed, and takes on the differentiation of various diseases-example, infections (mainly pneumonia-like, urethritis, pyelonefphritis, etc.) Arthritis, Lupus and other immune-diseases. In cancer, the tumor cells infected by Mycoplasma are more susceptible to spreading and producing metastases in different parts of the body (Slackpoles: Cli. Exp. Metastasis 6:271: 1988). This is also true with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (especially when the symptoms are severe), Multiple Sclerosis, and ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

When a Mycoplasma parasite enters the cells, immune components as lymphocytes produce alterations in their functions, and perturbation of the normal immune response is made. Such anergia (absence of immune response) or hypernergia (excess of immune response), are both novices for individuals which had been infected with Mycoplasma (Dudlex, EMBO J. It 3963, 1988) (Cole. Infect> immun. 36:852,1982).

Once the Mycoplasmas get inside the cells (as a parasite) it is very difficult to cultivate and even some special tests are negative (conventional antibody tests, cultures requiring sterols). It takes 10 days at least to grow the culture. Sometimes they are positive in the cold-agglutinin test and complement fixation test (fried eggs colonies). Recently Dr. G. Nicolson developed a new method called PCR-DNA.

At SDC (San Diego Clinic) we have been working with a special diagnostic test called the Platelet Test. This test was developed in Germany in the 1960’s for O. Snegotska and P.W. Scheidl. (folia clinica International, Spain. XVI, No6, June 1966). Throughout the readings of experiments by physicians or pathologists, it is possible to detect the different form and shapes that Platelets develop once they are infected by Mycoplasma bacteria. In the last 30 years researchers in Germany and other parts of the world have been able to classify these forms and shapes that Mycoplasma bacteria make in the platelets, and see how they are related to patients that have the disease (or have a tendency to develop the disease).

The test is very acute and has 95 % effectiveness in Cancer (all types), Auto-immune diseases (Arthritis. Lupus etc.), Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Chronic fatigue syndrome, etc.).

By drawing blood from patients with different diseases (cancer, arthritis, etc.) and infecting the blood with Mycoplasma bacteria (discovered through Platelet Tests), Dr. Streglay, in 1970, developed a Biologic product called Mycoplasma Vaccine (Myc-Vacc). This Biologic product in principle destroys specifically the Mycoplasmic bacteria related to the disease (permitting the cell to work freely); on the other hand, it produces a substance that will work in the immune system ( helping to balance and reinforce) through the immune-comprise cells, thus producing aliviation of the symptoms in the patient.

To develop this Biologic product it is necessary to draw 50 -100 cc of blood from the patient. The process time is approximately six weeks to develop the vaccine; special mediums and centrifugation techniques are necessaries.
